It's past midnight, I'm listening to Schubert Impromptu Op.90 No.3 and attempting to pen something down. Soon I'll curl up with my book and wait for Spain vs Germany to start!
It's July already. I cannot recall how the months passed so fast. Training, training and... training? Finally this weekends's the big race. The ultimate goal, maybe only, for the past 1 academic year. Sweat and blood. Heart and soul. The excitement and anxiety's starting to come, slowly but surely.
Yet somehow, it feels different, or rather I feel different. It's something I dare not voice out to anybody, even blocking out the thoughts from my head because letting myself think about it would be acknowledging it. I guess I've changed?
Piano music really is lovely :) But I never have the patience to complete a piece or get past the initial unfamiliar stages haha.
Wayy happening day (for my standards) yesterday :)
Woke up at 12 OMG delle couldn't believe it & I was supposed to be at orchard central at 1, what am I going to do without aunty remy for 3 more weeks. Surprised, albeit failed, toot at quiznos where she's been working for the past week :)
Dragged our butts down for training, then..
Eat with Family Day haha. Pasta de Waraku for dinner. Good food good food at good prices. Awesome :)
Cousins' night out @ Clarke Quay next! Settled down at Brewerkz with eber, may and roy to chill and talk, which was really great. Had calamari, potato skin which was the bomb and onion rings. AFTER dinner. Walked around, saw pierre png who was smoking and andre de cruz, arm wrestled with eber haha. Which turned out to be a stalemate. We have another showdown in July. Went to get magnums. AFTER supper. Anyway, my maiden magnum experience after all the hype. Verdict? Only hype, nothing fantastic.

May: Yeah nat everyone was just waiting for someone to say it
Oh while queueing for magnum, there was girl in super short bare backed till the butt tight dress.
Girl: (To her friend) Hold this for me (her drink). I don't want to show my ass to the world. It's priceless.
Girl proceeds to pull her dress higher so the top part of her butt doesnt show but now the bottom does.
Seriously. Roy and I couldn't contain our laughter. Priceless ass cracks us up.
All in all, great night out! :)

Highlight of the week - Confirmation of the sec 4s
My own confirmation was 4 years ago. I still have the little notebook gift and card that mel, mer, tis and glad gave me :) 2nd batch of sec 3s taught, 2nd confirmation attended. Doing ushering, I could see all of their expressions on their faces before they walked up to face Archie (who is a very cute man), mostly nervousness. Prob about making a mistake in front of the whole church. Like me 4 years ago! teehee.
Catechism this year has been good so far. Good not because everything has been running smoothly. Things haven't been actually. Good because I'm beginning to experience and trust. Look forward to. With the help of wonderful people :) Sharing with a bunch of sec 3s is certainly not easy, I cannot imagine myself doing so at sec 3! So I'm really thankful for my group.

Today I visited NJ again for the dsa recruitment talk. Walking through the school felt quite weird. I felt so olddd seeing all the kids (technically some of them are still kids at sec 1 and 2). And I no longer felt much of a sense of belonging to the school in which I spent 4 great years in. The building is changing dramatically. So much construction going on, I don't know how everyone survives. There're classrooms sprouting out everywhere - the raintree and oasis have become classroom space, the extension of the library at the linkway, the general office has moved to the bookshop area omg.
Yet I couldn't help but smile inwardly at the familiarity admidst all the change. The canoeing table, the track, the library, the classrooms - they brought back wonderful memories of 04 and the canoeing team. What hengyang said today pretty much sums up my feelings, at the end of the day when we look back, results don't matter anymore but what we carry with us are the awesomely wonderfully crazy memories and friendships forged, hopefully for life :)
Because love is never never easy. And I'm not even talking about Christian love, to love everyone unconditionally and totally, the way God loves us. Loving the people closest to you, is a lot of times harder than getting a perfect cap of 5.0 or running a 10min 2.4 or anything that can possibly be impossible to achieve. Yet its this love that is my foundation. Its this love that I yearn and pray most for.
