Chasing Pavements

lots been happening over the past few days.

River Regatta on the 26/27th.

the seniors were super good. champions of the woman's 10 men crew open category. i was their drummer for their first race in the heats. first time drumming! well the feeling was really different. how much heart they put in, how much strength they had, how much they wanted it. i could really feel the boat surging forward with every stroke. soon i turned and saw that checked black and white flag at the end of the 300m.

our boats, nothing much to talk about. rowing in the mixed boat B semis and finals, i think it was the hardest i have ever rowed in a db race. i guess we did our best la, but it really wasnt enough.

i really admire the seniors =)

yest was "Make A Wish 2005"!

at Sentosa and we went as a canoeing team. my group was assigned to Villa Francis Home. we brought the old folks to sentosa where we headed for Underwater World and Butterfly Park. sec time ive visited Underwater World in my life. i love the roundabout conveyor belt thing. jun and me were bringing this woman called Catherine around. she was so sweet and cute and so appreciative. and she could speak eng so it was easy to converse. haha we brought her on two rounds of the conveyor belt! butterfly park was kinda boring haha. then it was lunch and performance at Sapphire Hall.

i think the old folks were more tired going up and down the bus, which brought us around. some of them couldnt walk so the guys had to carry them down the bus. i dont know why i was so tired, haha but i slept a lot that day! on the trip there, at lunch and on the trip back! :p

it was an enjoyable day and i really hope the old folks were happy and enjoyed themselves too! its so beautiful seeing the smiles on their faces =)

today had trng. took k1 and paced with liyana in a t1. well, if mr yong doesnt make any more changes, which i think he will, i'd be taking k1 for nationals.
