today my small cousins came over.
and we played soccer!! haha
:D

ok for my own remembrance, i shall blog about canoeing camp.

mon
long dist running for two hours, but at the pool. running against the water current was tough! heh but i prefer it much more to normal running. afternoon had long dist canoeing at mac. rowed 18km with my round ubin partner, leeping! ahh but we couldnt keep up. im so slow laaaa :/ but leeping said i improved tho i dont really believe that. back to sch for dinner then had early night.

tues
woke up at 545!! it was community service day. went from house to house at toa payoh collecting their old stuff. there were lots of enthu and nice people! i think what we collected was far more then what we thought we would collect. we had fridges, tvs and goodness knows what of junk. we had to throw some of them away cos they were unrecyclable! sat with xinyuan for a long time waiting for the van to arrive. we were talking but then we both fell asleep! haha xinyuan ive yet to show you the guy!!! :D ok so we started at 8 am and ended at 1045pm!!! eating dinner only at that time. gosh 14 hours plus of walking up and down!! when we got back to sch, we were told that mr yong forgot to get the classroom keys from the locked stuff room so we had to sleep in the gym! without changing after a whole day and brushing our teeth. wow tues was really a different and new experience. tiring, back breaking, mouth aching (cos we had to keep smiling) but rather fun (: mr yong says that there'll prob be another com service, now at hougang.

wed
finished with the transportation of stuff in the morn, had nap, lunch then it was canoeing and dragon boat at kallang. rowed in the woman's boat B, mixed boat B and the boat with the girls. as usual it was tiring, making you want to give up during a set. but then seeing all the rest of your team mates continue rowing in the same boat, you cannot give up, you cant screw up, you cant let the rest of the people down, so you continue. i remembered leeping saying, "If you are too tired to pull, pull with your heart." that sense of accomplishment when you finish each set was great. so after db had dinner at golden mile, crapping with bingxin and huijun then it was back to sch.

thurs
last day of camp. watched Coach Carter in the morn. its a really encouraging, thought provoking, touching and wonderful movie. lots to be learnt from it. then had cycling at east coast for cross trng and then canoe polo in the afternoon. i like canoe polo (: but it was really hot, the hottest day i think and i got really sunburnt at my shoulders! they hurt now and ive got a super duper obvious tan cos i was wearing the singlet. had quite an unhealthy dinner back at sch. heh then it was home sweet home!

i realised i ate a lot, prob much more than i normally eat, at canoeing camp!! wahh the portion was bigg and the food was nice!

and cherry asked, "what's the colour of lobsters when they are alive and kicking or rather swimmming?" i answered without thinking, RED! hoho too much of cartoons! lobsters on tv are always red. for those minority who are like me, the answer's grey.

the camp was an experience, phsyically and mentally challenging. i couldnt have done it without my wonderful team and friends :D

tmrw and sun's River Regatta at Singapore River.
