Chasing Pavements

hellohello.

last mon, we saw lee hisen loong, lee kwan yew and vivien balakrishnan!! and other ministers. we went to the parliment and the coolest was the live sitting during the parliment debate thingy. it was like a classroom and ahem. i was rather surprised at how some ministers sat, chatted, looked at their mobile phones, passed notes (!). they walked in and out whenever they liked. haha had to go back to sch after that but on the way to the bus, our PM waved to us in a car! hoho.

math test sucked. yucksyucksyucks. thanks to all those who tried to cheer me up (: like sam who gave up her precious oreos. grrr i hate math now and that's horrible.

road run on fri :DD

i ran with cherry and jun ran with jo. before that, my target was actually to be in the top 20, since last year i came in like nowhere near there (more like near 50). cherry and me were feeling very nervous cos we wanted to meet our target and do well! so the run started and off we went at an extremely fast pace cos we wanted to break away. well everybody seemed to be running very fast. haha both of us were alr panting like mad at the beginning. but luckily, i successfully slowed down my breathing and we tried keeping up the pace. first hill, second hill (almost died!), park, nanyang, nj! the stretch from ny to before we turned into nj gate was the worst. if cherry wasnt there, i would prob, definitely have given up. so we sprinted to the end, cheered on by the canoeing guys (: i took the no. tag and got a huge surprise. woots no 9!!! top 10 yeaaa. with a self timed time of 18:30. much much improvement from last year. yayy im damn happy lar! jun got 5th and jo got 6th! cherry was 8th! four of us in top 10 plus five from 04 in top 10!

there was no milo truck though (!!!!) we got orange juice instead and the first cup given to cherry after we completed had a hair inside!

that led us to win the IP CUP!!!!! 05Ip04 go go go! won something in the last year of ip. hah that tells everybody that we channal our energy in the right direction! whootsssszzzz.

GO 05IP04! love you guys (: thanks to everyone for putting in so much effort! gladys ran, that says a lot right!? hohoho.

dearest girl, thanks so so much! couldnt have done it without you by my side. i would have stopped and not pushed myself on. im super duper uber happy that we were mentally rather stong and did not give up! i could hear us breathing so heavily. haha and nope we didnt die during the ny stretch! cherry rocks. love!
