Chasing Pavements

this blog has been dead for 14 days because its owner has either been too busy, is not at home or is just lazy. let's see.. Adventure Challenge last last sat! four cheers to team TrueBlue and its members - huijun, franklin, zhikai and me =) i think we rock, even though we didnt win. third is pretty satisfying considering the number of navigational mistakes we made. rather stupid =D

we got a penalty at our starting station. haha and we couldnt figure out the penalty too, so that the organisers had to tell us! pulau ubin grrr. did a hike there to the highest peak and cycled ard finding a hut. that was the worst haha we went round and up and down but we kept missing it. lost a lot of time there. the lake as seen from the top of the highest peak is awesome! from there we had to go to Northpoint and then sembawang hot springs where we had to predict the time an egg needed to be hard-boiled. that was fourteen mins of putting my leg into hot hot HOT water! :p franklin cheated a little, but we cleared that! next was the vertical marathon at toapayoh. 40 stories. that was just exhausting. then canoeing at macR. it was super duper weird cos the team was having trng at that time too and we went there to row those worse-than-monster-boats boats. we went to bishan firestation next to abseil! that was where i got really scared. the last time i did it, i took super long to take the first step out. hey, im scared of heights! and this time it was higher! yea so it really took a lot of willpower to start. that Leap of Faith! =) but yea, my team was waiting down there for me, i had to be quick! zhikai practically flew down. then we went to tekka food centre, swallowed about three to four chillis each (zhikai none, cos by the time he finished buying drinks for us to eat them, we had finished them all buy swallowing!:p). ran about 4km back to sch and crossed the finishing line third! :D the guys were uber nice for carrying our bags when we ran and one would always be in front and the other at the back, encouraging us and finding directions and buses (thinking we were smart and taking shortcuts that didnt work out)! :D franklin is seriously funny without meaning to. like his multicoloured raincoats and um other stuffs. all brawl no brains group! yay to team TrueBlue :DD

canoeing camp has been the the second eventful thing in the past one week plus. it was okay, three days instead of the normal six. the third thing was the family chalet at aloha loyang! 3 nights four days cos i couldnt stay on the last day due to canoeing. but it was a mini holiday of lots of fun! playing bridge (alot of times), chatting, night walk, staying till late, doing stupid stuff with my cousins. we even had study times where i finished my chinese book (: and i celebrated my 16th birthday there with all my family :D finally sixteen. had the birthday song sung by the guys who kinda embarrassed me by singing it many times in public. watched She's the Man :D very nice, duke's so sweeet.

its funny, everyone around me's been turning sixteen. and i was excited and waiting to turn sixteen. but when i finally did, i guess it wasnt that exciting. thanks to everyone who wished, the presents and everything! love you guys. Sixteen! (=
