Chasing Pavements

hello there, i havent posted in a long time.

its been one week of real school. gotta get the momentum of going to sch, trng and staying up late. these past few days i feel like sleeping even though its only 10 plus. yingting and i have the gigantic task getting everyone to consume their food and drinks in the canteen. *winks at yingting* haha this concerns something like bringing bubble tea out of the canteen. gosh! so stupid.

Obs was great. not at first, cos i was sure i would get homesick and didnt want to go and all. but amazingly, those seven days passed in a blink of an eye and up till now, i can still remember dearly, those seven days.

we had the usual height elements. im afraid of heights but im pretty glad that this time, i took much shorter to get through them. i guess you gotta believe in yourself. needed a lot of psycho-ing for myself.

Sailing expedition :D sixteen of us and ai chin on the boat with only the wind and waves and ourselves. tried the main sheets, helming and pulling the jib. i like the jib best (: 'Tack!', and gladys and me would be so happy that the jib would fly over to jason haha. slept one night in bashas and the second on the boat! thank god for wet tissues and powder which made us a lil more comfortable. we were sandy, dirty and wet and we could not bathe. it was really an experience sleeping knees up throughout the entire night, with the waves rocking and drunkard singing men on the beach nearby. xd and zhong guo ren were really funny :D third day, back to obs camp! ooh we used the entrenchment tool and digged holes in the ground to do our business in! haha one hole for everyone's tisues yucks :D

Kayaked 16km + around ubin and the mangrove. gladys was my partner and im really proud of her, cos she even cheong-ed with me. but gladd is strong la (= everyone did it in record time, 7 hours including lunch, two hours faster then the first group! my fave part was the mangroves before we stopped for lunch. there was no rush in the waters, the mangroves were nice and the water was clear (: we went for jetty jump when we got back. looking down at the water is seriously scary (remember my fear of heights). but i went for a second time with jo and gladd cos i wanted to see if i could do it without hesitating and i didnt! :D

as the days passed, we got used to the yuckiness of mud and dirt and Holt got closer (: mozzies, banana boat, wet tissues!, GUA GUA (:, late night talking sessions with 04 girls, talking to jo and jo (:, doris's jellyfish, reg's highness, laughing madly with tis, really really great sharings with aichin and holt, century duty... many other things worthy of remembrance. i'll miss obs and holt and ai chin and her gua gua.
