Chasing Pavements

I took a long break.
Had a lot to say, didn’t know how to say it, no time to say it.

Nationals 2007
A race to remember;
Every stroke was hard, as I tried to pull away, catch up catch up catch up.
But not one to harp on;
I know that I have to be so much better than I am now.

To the senior team, especially the girls, you have showed me how to be a great team, to be disciplined when need be, self-motivated and wanting to constantly improve. There were tough times, many, but everyone stuck together. Batches have come and gone, but I guess I’m closest to this girls’ team. Training with you girls really thought me a lot about courage and heart and fighting spirit.

To my beloved k1 girls – sze, su, dee (ex but still one!) and xiaoting, I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for all the encouragement, be it during training or the messages, you girls always believed in me and told me I could do it, even when sometimes, I felt that I would never be able to catch up and I didn’t believe in myself. I miss training with you all, certainly. To xiaoting, we still have a long way ahead! (:

That’s 2007,
2008’s race has already started.
I hope we’ll step up as a senior team, face all the challenges, and most importantly, stick together as a team.

Common test
Results were horrible. Really need to pull up my socks, way, way high! Yikes not much time left to promo!

Death Valley
Mr Yong’s been there, done that. He conquered Death Valley, something so unimaginably conquerable, with its 50 + degrees temperature, mountains and the distance. But I never doubted that he wouldn’t be able to complete the run. Ordinary people can complete extraordinary things, with an extraordinary heart! (:
